I'm not a child psychologist, youth pastor, or parenting expert, but I have raised two teenagers who grew to be healthy and happy young adults, so I like to think my wife and I did something right.

And at the time of posting this episode, we also have a twelve-year-old son, which means my wife and I will soon be venturing back into the turbulent waters of life with an adolescent in the home. Please pray for us.

I'm mostly joking, but raising teens is no joke. And ideally, our children should possess some degree of a Biblical worldview before entering adolescence because, after that point, it's tough to make an influence.

So, I've been doing a lot of reflecting on parenting. Specifically, what I should be doing as a father, knowing I have limited time (in the big picture) with our son at home. And that leads me to this episode, which is not an exhaustive list by any means but covers six things that I think every son needs from his dad.

What did I miss? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Drop me a line at mark@theinspiredlegacy(dot)com.
